About the Fun

Our goal is to offer a fun, supportive, safe, affordable and high quality camp in Toronto that gives young people the opportunity to try and enjoy sailing .

Our main programs operate in July and August, Monday to Friday from 9am to 3pm. Our aim is to offer programs that are affordable and high quality. Advanced spring and fall sailing programs are also availiable. The camp is operated by the Outer Harbour Sailing Federation.

The Outer Harbour Centreboard Club (OHCC) is our home base the for sailing program.

  • a sheltered launching area

  • a beautiful lawn for games

  • shaded under trees and tents

  • a clubhouse in the event of bad weather

  • fenced boundaries for security.

Start Sailing| Wet Feet Program

Start sailing or continue to learn to sail for anyone age 6 to 9. No sailing experience is required. Everyone wears a life jacket when sailing. It's very important that your child should be comfortable in the water. It is recommend they are able to swim 25m comfortably. Safety and fun is our priority. We sail in a sheltered harbor in small boats designed for young sailors. We only use trained and certified Sail Canada instructors that are chosen for their exceptional skills working with young children. The program builds friendships, confidence and self-esteem.


Learn to SAIL & intermediate Sailing Program| CANSail level 1 or 2

This is our learn to sail program for sailors age 10 and up. No sailing experience is required. Sailors learn to sail in a range of fun sailboats, visit the beach and play games. We emphasize fun and fundamental movement skills combined with safe practices to provide a great learning environment and fun filled weeks. Sailors will be assigned to groups based on their experience, skill and if they have friends in the program that they wish to sail with.

 

Advanced SAILING & racing CANSail levels 3 to 6

For sailors who have completed CANSail 2 and want to work on CANSail 3 and above. Sailors will learn advanced and performance skills. This program allow’s sailors to learn racing skills including trapeze and spinnaker. The sailors will have the ability to practice their skills through inter-club racing, and have the opportunity to enter into sailing regatta’s located in Toronto, throughout the summer. These sessions are in 2 week blocks so sailors have more time on the water to master higher level sailing skills.

Fall & Spring Advanced SAILING

We are pleased to announce that we have added spring and fall sailing programs. These programs are for sailors who have completed their CanSAIL 2 who are passionate about sailing and are looking to maximize their sailing time pre and post summer season. These sessions range from 4 to 6 weeks. Please visit our registration page for more information about these programs.
